Which year 328i rear calipers for my 128i
I want to upgrade the rear brakes on my 128i (my fronts have already been changed to 135i calipers). I understand the calipers off a 328i are plug and play, but should I look for units from specific years?
Thanks

How come the E90 328i brakes are an upgrade to the stock ones if they share the same part number?

34216768697/34216768698 from the 328i are an ugrade to the 128i because they have 42mm pistons.

Worth noting here is that the rear rotors stay the same (i.e., E82 128i) even if using the E9x 3 series rear calipers. I believe (but am not sure) the caliper bracket stays the same as well. I forget whether the rear pads are different from the E82 128i and E9x 3 series, though.

Why not F30 rotors/brakes? Just out of curiosity
I'm trying to decide which route to take in my brake upgrade.

F30 brakes on the front work great. To put them on the rear is a little harder unless you use the SLG brackets, but that forces you to use 18in wheel.

You don't need a bracket if you're going 370/345 S2NHA M Sport/ZTR option or M Performance BBK (these two are the same, the former are the blue calipers with 370s/345 out of the assembly line or the red/orange/yellow retrofit kit)
