2008 118i no pdc chimes with aftermarket headunit

hi all,

i installed a pioneer double din headunit a while back with an aero pro fascia kit including a connects2 harness. the connects 2 harness retains warning gongs with an additional speaker but i have no pdc chimes.

my car is fitted with front and rear sensors and i previously had the bmw Professional headunit. i have standard speakers (as far as i'm aware) and the pdc chimes work with the original head unit.

any help would be much appreciated!
