Hi, I'm near Sydney and would greatly appreciate a hand with the tune. I don't own the cable and don't want to screw anything up.

I don't think I can use PMs since this account is new

Just did this today with my MY09 125i convertible manual - thank you so much for posting the guide! Very pleased with the results! I'm shocked how beefier it feels low down. I bought the car with a resonator delete and a Mishimoto intake/K&N air filter as well.

I ended up buying a cable for $21 shipped from eBay, came in 5 days. I needed to register a new battery too so it came in handy.

moron125 it feels a bit scary at first but it's honestly not that bad. Requires a bit of searching on forums/troubleshooting to get the BMW Standard Tools working (depending on what version you "find"), but after you get everything working it's pretty easy!

Glad to hear it went smoothly mate.
This is how the 125i should've come off the assembly line!

Hi, I'm in Perth and was wondering if a remote dme flash would be possible or someone locally could help? Should have everything ready for it, just a bit nervous with the possibility of messing it up. Happy to pay for the help. Cheers

jkho , you're a legend mate. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and putting it together in a neat little how-to.

I did the RSA delete & flash yesterday without any real hitch. Using the same cable off of Amazon, and the balls to do it without a battery charger.
The first test drive was magical. A very obvious increase in low to mid-end torque and sounds (?) a lot angrier now. Super stoked with the result!

Did you ever get around to flashing the GM1912 transmission tune/update? I realised I might have only cleared adaptations for the engine and not the transmission -- as I noticed it was quite jerky when in 3rd gear. (Hence why I'm pre-emptively considering the flash, especially if it would fix it.) In the meantime, I'll clear the transmission & engine adaptations together and see how that fares.

Lastly, I flashed the 1CB version of the tune which I understand is the MAF version, and the other being MAF-less. Are you aware of any differences here?

Hey mate,
Glad the post helped!
No more mods on my E82 125i, ended up selling.

Didn't end up flasing the transmission, not worth the headache and the gains would be negligible.
If you wanted to push for more KW, probably best to do the Headers as Kirby mentioned above... but it's probably not worth the $$$ (especially the branded one.. try the rep, it had heaps of good reviews on the other BMW Forums!) compared to the value/age of the car.

In my write up, I think I mentioned that I used the other one (PowClass00.0da).
Since you've already done the risky, hard and time consuming part (RSA Delete), you should be able to run that batch file and flash (very quickly) between Stock, 1CB and the other one.
