Think about it, why would all these amazing high-res pics appear all the sudden w/o any previous buzz? |

Wow...
I know a lot of you don't like this thing but I think it looks great, even if it is all looks, it is a great first idea of what a tastefully modded 135i can look like. I LOVE IT!!

Cool concept, I really like the rear CFP Balance. Most likely the "aerodynamic" bits will be available from the dealer as a BMW Performance part.
What I do not like is all the Alcantara that they used, I know it looks very cool but it just does wear in a nice way. In my car (330i ZHP) I have alacantara wrapped steering wheel, alcantara shift boot, and handbrake boot. After 2 years it now looks horrible and I take really good care of it, specially the steering wheel the alcantara is all shredded. It's funny how it says that the wheels are unique to the concept when they are for sale and available at the BMW dealer, not only the wheels but also the crossdrilled brake rotors. They are all part of the performance catalog available for for the E90, E92, E85 and E46. |

The brakes are slotted and cross-drilled, the calipers look a lot beefier than stock 135i brakes. The car sits lower than a 135i - this indicates the suspension is lower, I would even guess stiffer. The front air dam, hood, mirror, trunk are made of CFRP. Probably saving 35-45 lbs maybe even more. The seats are non-motorized, saving more weight. The aerodynamics have been improved over a 135i. The sum is greater than the parts in this case, I can guess that the performance of this car is a vast improvement over a stock 135i. |

I had the opposite experience with the Alcantara interior in my Audi. After 5+ years the only part that showed much wear was the armrest, and that was solved by periodically taking one of those "Sweater pill shaver-things" to it
Of course, I can only imagine how much wear the Alcantara steering wheel is subjected to :iono:

The right wheels can make a car come alive. Nothing can make your 1 Series come alive in terms of both handling and appearance like a full set of BMW Performance wheels and tires. These striking 18” and 19” one-piece alloy performance wheels are machined for less weight and have a unique, totally individual design. Offered in ferric gray with a polished surface, each BMW Performance wheel also has a wordmark reading “BMW Performance” printed on each rim in black. The style of these wheels is unique to the BMW Performance line and is available for the 1 Series. But form follows function – the handling as well as impeccable style.attributes of BMW Performance wheels are indisputable. Each wheel is designed for optimal weight reduction, in some cases being almost two pounds lighter than conventional wheels. Add the fact that these wheels have also passed rigorous BMW testing, and you get superior functionality Every new BMW comes with highly effective, standard anti-lock brakes that offer supreme safety and reliability. But for those whose passion is driving with every possible advantage, nothing amplifies handling quite for superior wet braking performance.like BMW Performance braking components. Designed for the 18” alloy wheel, BMW Performance cross-drilled rotors are a technical marvel. Each front compound brake disc reduces unsprung mass by 3.1 lbs per corner. Additionally, all four discs are crossdrilled Each compound-drilled disc features a cross drilled rotor. This design not only saves unsprung mass on each front wheel, but also offers superior braking performance under wet conditions. It should be noted that when upgrading your BMW 135i with these BMW Performance rotors, it is advisable to also replace brake pads, as not doing so may cause uneven wear. BMW Performance cross-drilled rotors give the thrill-seeking 1 Series driver the superiorhandling attributes that he or she desires, while offering an enhanced aesthetic appearance. 89 |
