You'll probably notice some torque steer too. Okay, I'm talking out my rear end here, because I've never driven the Altima coupe. I have driven the previous generation Altima sedan, though. Man, that 3.5SE had some kind of torque steer. No thanks.

Altima coupes look nice.
It depends on what you want out of the car. Anything FWD is disqualified for me, if I'm looking for something sporting. EDIT: Except the Mini. That thing is a blast :-D

FF vs. FR may be overrated, however, I totally agree that BMW totally differentiates itself from Japanese cars. Acura is not any different from Honda which has had reputation of not very durable (they do not build Acura's ANY better than Honda's). If anybody is interested in FR (and can wait that long) there is a rumor that Toyota (did not see that coming) will bring back the legendary AE86 around 2010-2011. I drove AE82 (FF one with the same engine) and it was fun, so I can only imagine how much fun it would have been driving AE86. This may be well worth considering if you are seriously after handling and driving pleasure.
