Simonize - Worth it or not
My dealer is really pushing the exterior and interior treatment called Simonize. I have never heard of this one and I know that most clearcoat from dealers is crap and that is how they make a lot of extra money, but I have never heard of this one and it does sound a little interesting. They tell me even if someone eggs my car or a bird craps on it and I can not get the stain out they will repaint the car if needed and give me a rental for a 5 year warranty period. Same with the interior for stains. What do you guys think, is it worth a few hundred dollars just for the warranty even if the stuff washes off in a months?

Pretty much what I was thinking, but curious if anyone had anything actually good to say about it. I mean is actually bad for the car or just a waste of money? I really do not want some basic detailer all over my car with some gunk either.

Wax it yourself. The waxes are so easy to apply these days and the paint looks so much better with wax! Put that money into some good car washing/waxing/detailing gear.
