delivery date gone back
so, have been told by the dealer today that the estimated delivery date of my car has gone from early april to mid may. order was placed around mid feb. bit of a jump back in dates!
has anyone else who is still waiting for delivery of their car been advised similarly? |

I sense a punch in the face and a kick in the junk coming...
What is my deal with that this week, I must have some pent-up aggression.

I have been saying that in other threads when people have been complaining about dealers.
Moral of the story, punch your dealer in the face then kick the next person in the junk until you get what you want. It is crude yet effective. Edit: I now realize that I am no longer contributing to any thread in any measureable way, so feel free to ignore what I post. I really just need my car here now.

ARES45 - maybe best to put down the pipe for a couple of days dude
greyvents - Did they say the reason for the delay? I enquired about a 135i on Friday and the guy reckoned I could have one for May.. Although I did think that sounded a bit optimistic at time. I think as long as you've got the order in the system that's the main thing. I think this car's gonna take off soon and allocation will be tight. One of the other UK guys has said as much in another thread. |

Greyvents....to be honest if you ordered your car in Feb i think the dealer was being very optomistic for you to get your car in April. I was one of the first to order - i order in the first week of december and i got my very quick but that as the 8th March. I would be suprised if you got it much earlier than early to mid Mat to be honest
Also allocations are running out when i picked up from my dealer he told me now people were going to have to wait until June maybe even July BMW are really cutting back allocations. The only expect about 3k 135i's in the whole of the UK i think in 2008...i might be wrong with that figure but i am sure that is what someone told me who knows there stuff |

3k 135i's is well over the top from what I understand. 400 per annum was the figure I heard, which sounds more realistic, given the huge majority of cars will the diesel...

thanks for the info Nutkins and UK135i. i guess 3 months sounds about right? apparantly the build slot has been allocated for end April with estimated delivery end May.
I dunno, seeing as production is still some ways off...maybe I'll try to add / change some options - but don't know if this is possible at this point! |

oops, i meant mid May. thats what they told me yday and I hope they will stick to that!
UK135i, I've gone for alpine white. have kept it quite basic with minimal options - sports seats, cruise and darkened glass. |

I ordered in November and I collect on Thursday this week. I went for the auto hence the delay, I think it might be one of the first in the UK with auto.
Feb to May is a short time, although i must admit it seems like an age when we're waiting! Cheers Paul |

There good options grey
Paul you must be the first Auto they only officially came out this month. Can i ask why you went for Auto and with the Auto can it be manual as well For me alot of the fun goes out of the drive with an Auto but then i dont have huge experience with them so i am very biased towards a manual shift Good luck with the pick up today and let us know what you think Will the run in be different because it is an Auto? |

My order finally went into Sytner Nottingham at the end of Feb and I was told all the slots had gone... luckily my client is BMW Financial Services and they managed to get an earlier build slot - delivery 28th May.
Had my order gone with next allocation of build slots I would have got the car in June / July. Anyone being told now by a dealer that they will get delivery in May is either being lied to or the sales person has not checked the system. UK135i - run in is the same with an auto. [edit] my comments above are for 135i build slots - not sure if there is a difference for the other models?

You can make changes all the way until the build date - my car is due to be built in wk18 (last week April).
I am going across to Sytner at lunchtime to have a look at having the grey poplar wood trim instead of the brushed silver as it looks a lot like the gloss black.

Went to Sytner Nottingham today to take a look at the trim. I much prefer the brushed - look great in the 1er.
By chance they had a gorgeous 1er hatchback M Sport model in Alpine white with the brushed silver - looked amazing, I couldn't believe how well the white suited it.... made me very happy! Anyway, back to the allocation... a great sales guy there (called Dan) told me that Sytner Nottingham only has an allocation of 2 1 series coupes - ALL ENGINE types for June / July delivery! Supply is so limited that they will not have a demo 135i until September, and they have no date for a 123d demo... and they have just sold theirs. I read that there is an allocation of just 400 1er Coupes for the UK. Bad news for ordering, but it's good as we will all have pretty rare cars! BMW are apparently trying to keep supply low and the car rare - do they think sales of the hatchback will decline??

So basically it is going to be a very rare car. That is great news!! I am pleased you like the Trim Moff. Grey out of interest that colour interior combo is that a non leather option or a special option that you have gone for?
I will be driving my little beauty alot this weekend. CANNOT WAIT |

I was told the 400 was the 135i allocation - BMW must be planning to sell more coupes than that across the range...

UK135i, its not a special option. its a mix of orange cloth and black leather. believe theres a couple of photos of it in the bmw cat, in the 120d section. from the photos id describe it as terracota.
