https://www.xpel.com/products/paint_...21&series=1323 (w/ their business discounts) Interesting about the flaws. Perhaps they caused them during the install? It doesn't concern me very much as there weren't very many of them at all ... they were small and I'm just happy the paint is protected.

just came back from my installer, AutoShield (Dave Meljie), in Sacramento area.
I have 3M product installed as well as the window tint by SunTek. 24" Hood, Fenders, Mirrors, Headlights and Full Bumper is $750. Tint with 40% all around is $250. Dave has done great jobs on both my 135 and X5. I would highly recommend him to have yours done. Not sure if you can tell the window tint and the clear bra on the mirror from the picture, I attached it anyway. |

I have the clear bra on my '06 330i and my paint is immaculate!
Definitely worth the money! I used to fiddle with the unsightly black bras on my cars. I used to hate washing my cars because I had to remove the black bra and clean it and dry it and put it back on. Thank goodness those days are over!

You can wax the Bra portion. The recommendation is to use a wax that has no dyes. Also, if you get the 3m bra (one being installed on my car today), it actually has a clear coat as the topcoat of the bra. You will want to put some sort of protection on it to help remove bug splats ect. when you wash the car. |

Yes, you should wax over the clear bra as the paint could fade through it.
I wax mine.
