strange noise
not sure where to post this so mods feel free to move it!
i was changing my angel eyes to 8500k and kept hearing this odd "BEEE BOOO" noise coming from the right side (driver's side) of the engine. any ideas what it could be? car was off. car had not been driven for about an hour. About every 15 or 20 seconds "BEE BOO" ... not very loud but definitely there. ideas please! thanks in advance. i have active steering ... may or may not be relevant.

Not sure .. did you have your key in your pocket and have compfort access? Could it have been picking up something from that?

interesting ideas guys. thanks.
yes i do have CA and i did have the key in my pocket but i'd be surprised if it were related to that ... sounded too close to the engine and down low. i guess it could be some cooling mechanism but i hadn't driven for an hour...although things were warm/hot under the hood still ... :iono: thnx! it makes me feel better that others hear it too ... as long as it's normal!

Strange Noises
I just had the same thing happen to me today! I was actually taking a little lunch nap in the office garage and I heard the mechanical noise. It sounds like some sort of electrical device.
I also noticed that when I turn on the interior light, a "power-up" noise occurs. Weird |

Ditto, mine even kicked in when I was changing the CDV and it sounded like it was under the car but it was tight under there and I could not pin point it.

When you open the trunk, the car reads the DVD and sends your location to the Police department... so they can more easily find the body you are removing from the trunk. At least in Chicago that's how it works.
