It was the O2 bung. For RHD it's needs to be moved over and re set. Andrew took care of this no problem and we figured out the fix for it from here on out. Thanks to Wayne for sure being the test mule and Andrews hard work to make it work!

The initial shipment will be here very soon, so then i can modify them and have them ceramic coated. When this is taken care of, they i can set the prices and will be sure to let you all know when they are available.
Thanks again Andrew |

My internet connection is back to normal so I finally had a look at those graphs. I'd say with 100% confidence we are talking different gears with those peaks.
Looking at the post DP install graph first. If you look at the x-axis (rolling speed) you'll see there are two runs - either a 3rd and 4th gear run, or 4th and 5th gear - on the post DP install dyno graph. Now since dynos have no idea about revs, you really are measuring road speed. So if you compare it to the stock dyno run graph (unfortunately using a different y-axis scale): you can see the it is the right (or red coloured) run in the top graph that was done in the same gear as the stock run (bottom graph). And it might be my eyes, but stock produced a slight higher peak.... Now of course Andrew has stated there were many days in between and there are so many variables, what these graphs do say is this particular install of downpipes yielded no peak gains. However if I stare even closer I CAN see there is a slight increase in the mid-range (no doubt when boost is at its peak). If the graphs were the same scale it would become clearer there is more power through the rev range, but just not a bigger peak...... Unfortunately the torque scale on the right has been chopped, so no idea which one delivered more. Of course happy to be proven wrong if I've missed something obvious.

I can 100% attest to the fact it is the same gear, 4th gear. I had a my business partner in the car while it was being dyno'd. I spoke to the owner before the first dyno stating what i wanted. I will double check the variables that Kris asked about, tomorrow. I will double check all the raw data and let you know. I have no reason to make up data results. I test so many different products and most are rubbish. This made power, drive it and you can tell, no doubt about it.
I'll be back to you! |

Andrew, does the first graph above include the original dyno run (red line) and then the post-DP install dyno run as an overlay? Meaning only one graphed run per dyno session. If that's the case, the extra peak HP claims may be true, but still doesn't explain why the runs weren't done in the same gear to give a proper engine power comparison. Obviously how an engine can spin up its running gear differs from gear to gear.
When I do dyno runs (also on a Dyno Dynamics) comparing different gear runs is useless. In fact I personally tend to focus on steady state speeds in the same gear (eg. 70, 85, 100, 120km/h) so you can more accurately chase gains across the rev range under constant load WOT, not just at peaks. But then for me I care about EVERY single hp Don't doubt you've been told it was the same gear, and I especially don't doubt that the car would accelerate quicker by having more power across the rev range, but unless WAY had his gearing changed, the top speed reached in each run should be identical....

Nope, no gearing changes at all. I am curious to understand what went on as well. As I said, there is no doubt by driving it that the car is making heaps more torque and power. It's one of those mods that it is so obvious without needing to see the graphs to know! But still, would be great to know what the scientific numbers actually tell you!

He's going to ring dyno dyanmics and ask them directly. He said defiantly 4th gear both. i asked him your point..... Can you PM me your mobile number i'd like to get this sorted asap, and your obvious experience will help me get this sorted quickly. He has offered another dyno run again in 4th gear and i can video the fact, but it doesn't really answer your question does it? I hope to hear from you soon. Kris, the other data is available, i'll pick them up this morning Thanks Andrew |

Dyno dynamics think it may be wheel spin?
It was wet that day, they have asked us to re-dyno and compare results, i'll ask the owner and get back to you guys asap |
