Arma Superchargerkit
Dear Eddid
Good day!! Thanks for you mail. Right now we have E90(320i) and E92(320i). 125i will be done around mid-Feb and we have to test it so it probably will be released around mid-April. I will let you know at the that time. |

A supercharger for the 128's? That would be awesome! Been in a supercharged Integra GS-R that was really quick!

i'm predicting:
it wont be as fast as a stock 135 because of the internals not being strong enough to support that much power. or it ending up costing more than a 135. doesn't sound not retarded.

Why would you want a supercharger? That's belt driven and would rob your engine of power to create power. You probably won't feel the boost until it reaches 4k rpm.

If it is a positive displacement supercharger, you will feel boost right off idle. If it is a centrifugal-type SC, the boost will be very linear with engine speed and it will take some time to make additional HP over stock. Nate

so it wont make as much power as a 135 until about 5500 RPM. AWESOME BRAH!

probably will be, but it will also probably be way cheaper than trading a 9 month old car in for a 135. i'm looking at doing that now, and its not pretty. (not that i'm considering modding my 128 at all... just saying).
superchargers and turbos both have thier uses and both have ups and downs. i'd be surprised if it got less than a 60hp gain to the wheels. purely guestimating though. |

I love how the 135i guys pull the whole (128i will never make more powr than stock 135i)... I dont buy that for a sec.
As far as I know... 135i is all aluminum block and the 128i is iron. That being said, I hate to say it, I think the 128i has a stronger block. As far as rotating assemblies and bottom end? Who knows. It likely runs higher compression pistons (which dont necessarily make it worse, but are easily changed anyway). Superchargers make power more immediate... linear delivery... thus the use in dragsters (well that and NHRA doesnt allow sophisticated ecus to accomidate boost safely). All in all, I think stock for stock 135i would probably have been a better choice... but as locked down as bmw is with the 135i it doesnt really matter. its the anti-tuner tuner. You guys with the 128's should go for it. I bet you could go a long ways with a nicely paired supercharger or aftermarket turbo system. |
