It was me. The temps were a bit hot and no traction in 1st but was a fun day apart from the sunburn lol
Were you there? I'm just running a JB3 and Intake at the minute, I have ar catless downpipes and helix fmic on order though, although I'm really considering some 17" wheels with hoosiers on, be nice to get into low 12s or even the 11s but not so easy with the manual gearbox

Hi mate, I was not there no...... i do attend regularly though Have to meet up next time mate. Im a few places up the table from you mate with my 335d. Jb3 is cool, you must have over 400HP at the fly? Your time is about right, you will need decent rubber and also the DP to get a mid 12 mate deffo Tbh mate TOyo 888R do the trick.

2.1794 for the 13.2 run which was my best of the day, all the other runs had even worse 60ft's and most times were about 13.4
Installing my DP's on Saturday and then FMIC when the new Helix GB ones ship although none of that's going to help with traction lol

They would help, But realistically your driving will make more of a difference. Learning how to launch well etc.
Premium ruBBer is a easy way to improve also.. Ditch the run of the mill tyres and Buy the Best.

Whats all the talk of 400hp?
Even with JB3 set to max it's no more than 370-380 right? Good time though, although I would have also expected high 12's for remapped 135's, but can understand the loss of traction for the sh1tty RFT's. There is noticeable difference in 1st traction from stock to remapped, and I really think a stock car will run close to 13.2-13.4 due to it being easier to launch.

Hiya,
I've never tried anything like this but I'd like to have a go. I've got a 135i with Dinan Stage II, Dinan intercooler, Quaife LSD etc. What do I need to do? Can I just turn up and run on the strip? Do I need a helmet, racing licence etc? Am I going to look stupid on my first few runs without really knowing how to launch etc ? Cheers Jack |

The 13.2 run was on PS2's as I've already ditched the RFTs although I didn't lower the pressure. Traction is a real problem though, but just need to work on slipping the clutch a bit more through 1st and into 2nd I think. I sort of wish I had gone for the auto box now Def gonna get some 17" wheels with DR's. Quote:

I had one limp mode when I first installed my JB3 but it just needed an extra resistor on it somewhere although I never actually fixed that as I brought the boost guage / tuning tool so BMS sent me a new JB3 and it has been running perfectly on Map 7 with just the Intake
Installed a set of AR Catless Downpipes today and damn I never want to do that again lol what a huge pain in the ass that was. I had the car on a lift and virtually any tool I needed at hand but there is just such little space to do anything with and it's made even worse for us with right hand drive cars as the steering column really gets in the way. I have no idea how anybody has managed to do this on ramps at home. On the plus side they do seem to make quite a difference, it def wants to pull a lot more although will see what the dyno says. They sound cool too Now just need to wait for my FMIC to arrive and maybe some meth
