What would you upgrade to?
I was just dreaming today... and thinking about what car I would buy if it were a few years from now and I was looking to upgrade from the 135.
Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking maybe Porsche Cayman S, M3 or Audi S5 depending on budget... but what else is there in that price range that I am missing? Maybe even the new 3 coupe if it came out in time and was nice. |

- 4 door M3
- All new Land Rover Disco 5 when it comes out (not the current facelifted Disco 4)

I test drove an S5, very nice car inside and out but it's very overrated for its price. I'd take an M3 or C63 AMG any day. It's slower than the 135i too.

GTR35! if your 135 is light tuned, it will be almost same as M3 or CarreraS or S4 etc.. hence GTR.. =)

Yeah was thinking GTR but I the Mrs doesn't want to go in a Nissan... hahaha.
The new car doesn't have to be performance orientated, as long as it has similar acceleration to the 135. Don't like 3series sedans so the M3 four door is out. |

There is only 1 Porsche dealer down here and they are rubbish. I wouldn't buy a car which needed to be serviced at that dealer.

I can't afford to keep both. The dealer offered me a good deal on an M3 if I picked it up before the end of November and gave me a great price on the vert. The weather has been so sh%t down here and I haven't been able put the roof down so they caught me at a weak moment. I will miss the vert, its a great car.

Ta mate. I'd like to upgrade to a 4dr M3 as well. Practical and fast. Coupes can be a pain. Would miss the low end grunt of the N54 though.

I was lucky enough that the mrs bought me a day at the porche driving centre for my 30th.
As much as the 911's had more grunt, hands down, the winner in my mind was the cayman s. I drove a 911 turbo which has a billion kws but the cayman was still the most fun on the twisty stuff. |

Yen I was worried about that but when I took one for a test drive I was really happy with the performance and the DCT gearbox was excellent. I'm worried about my licence. The car really wants to rev!
