Those of you who test drove both new E90s, how would you rate 325i Performance and drive vs 330i

I don't think anyone's answers to this poll would have any meaning. Test drivers usually do not have controlled environment and instruments to properly measure the performance differences between two cars. We all know there is a horsepower difference, and I would assume there is some noticable difference in perceived performance as a result. It's like asking people in Arizona which snow tire they recommend.

Since Tiga901 was so much impressed by the difference in the two cars, I just wanted to get an idea, if other people feel the same way!

I wasn't that impressed with the difference of the 330i over the 325i. I'll admit this was seat of the pants feeling but it was in a controlled environment (Always the same cone course, switching back from car to car and doing a total of around a dozen run as a driver or passenger).

The 330i pulls more on a straight-line, I'll grand that, but I don't think that extra half-second warrants the difference in cash. When the curves arrive, both cars with sport packages behave very similarly. It's only the base 325i with 16" wheels that can't take the course at a speed as high as the others.

The sport Package on 330i has 18 inch wheels, whereas sport package on 325i has 17 inch wheels.

Any difference in suspension?

215HP over 255HP gives a ratio of 84.3 %. Does the difference is felt always, or when we just push the car hard?

how bout a poll showing what 325 owners think vs 330 owners

the cars are friggin identical for the 98% of the time the gas isn't all the way to the floor, they corner and brake the same (don't start with some oooh it has 18" instead of 17" it'll corner better, that's bull as the 330 doesn't get any wider tires and it weighs more (negligible though))

I think the transmission matters. The auto 325i I tested felt sluggish, while my 325i manual trans feels 90% of the 330i manual I tested.

I did not test drive a 330i auto, but I'll bet it doesn't feel sluggish!

I agree with you, this poll can be biased by 330i owners, it will be good to know the split, what only the 325i owners think But it can be biased the other way too!
