Today i had the chance to check out a tahiti green convertible in a dealers showroom. It does not at all look similar to what i have seen on photos or in magazines until now. The color is very impressive and appears a lot "deeper", a lot darker then you would judge be looking at the photos in this thread. From certain angles it can look very dark, nearly black, while in direct sunlight it shines in colors between blue and green. Like a little gem, almost. The convertible in the showroom was tahiti with black interior. If you consider a not so common color for your BMW, go for it. I m not sure what it may look like on a coupe in real life, but its definitely a great color choice for the convertible, at least with black leather. Hence i ll reconsider my own (grey) color choice now...

@maxnix:
That was exactly the reason I chose the color. I didn't want a "colorless" black or grey car as I had before. In fact I fell in love with the lemon interior and needed an exterior color that matched it. My dealer had a car in exactly this color combination which I test drove. At first I didn't think green was for me but it was the color that went best with the lemon interior. I also think you need a color on the 1 that shows the curves of this beauty. Green really does that. @Sylon: Canon EOS 7D with 70-200mm F2.8 L IS II USM (with the aperture fully open). I got the lens as a present for my 10 years in the company. |

gotta say I wasnt too sure about this colour but in differant angles it does look nice and I can under the colour combo with lemon int. I find that while bimmers in pictures look nice they are 10x's better in person. I suspect it's the same with this colour

Very smart. I really wanted to order my 135i in Tahiti Green but the dealer was absolutely adamant that this would be a very serious mistake from a resale value perspective and persuaded me to go for Monaco Blue instead. Which I like but, having seen my first ever Tahiti Green 1er in the metal (a 118d hatch), I would have preferred the green....

Yep. In the UK certainly you could only get it on SE or ES spec cars or the 135i M Sport.
