Brakes Squealing and a rubbing noise question
I've had 3 problems with my '08 135i and had it in to the dealer twice for it. I had a clunk from the front end that was the thrust bushings (replaced and fixed the problem). The other 2 issues have not been resolved and I was wondering if anyone else had the same issue.
1. Brakes squeal when coming to a stop. If you are super gentle it will be quiet. If you brake a little aggressively a nice big squeal. The front brakes have all been replaced under warranty - rotors and pads, and bedded in. Still squeals. 2. A come and go problem, but on the right side I hear a "rasp" upon every revolution of the wheels. Sounds like something rubbing upon every rotation. I go faster, the sound gets fast and vice versa. However, if I do a very hard stop, the noise goes away. Then in a while it comes back. Thanks for any ideas! James |

Probably dust accumulated near the calipers. Just have them cleaned by your dealer.
