Clock
We haven't driven our 128 vert for a few weeks (4 or 5) since we've had quite bad weather. Yesterday when we took it out, the clock on the dash and the radio just showed dashes. Haven't tried to reset it yet, but has anyone else experienced this after not starting the vehicle for a while?

Same thing happened to me after several weeks of not driving it due to bad weather. The clock seemed to be the only thing that needed resetting. Radio station presets and seat memory were still saved.

Same thing happening to me. So is it due to a weak battery? My engine still cranks strongly though...

Yep, it is the battery....It happens to most who do not drive it a lot, or leave it sit for a bit. Never had this problem with any other car. Bought a battery tender, and since then, no problem. We did not drive the 135 Vert a lot in the winter. There must be more to it, never heard that you have to drive the samn car every day.

Thanks guys. Don't think it's the keys as same result for both. From what I gather I'm pretty much sure it is the battery as I don't use my 135i often enough. Tested the battery voltage and it was 12.22V, which I believe means is only 50% full (according to a post I found somewhere in this forum).
Weird thing is that the battery still has enough power to crank strongly, but not enough power to keep a low drain item like the clock/trip going. Go figure. Come to think of it my other gremlin I have been having lately could be due to a low battery as well. When I unlock my car the park lights have stopped coming on. Maybe the car is switching off ancillary items to conserve power... Anyway will take it for a burn up and down the local pass this morning and put a charger on the battery and see if the problem(s) reoccur.
