White smoke is...HPFP?
The 135i has been long-cranking for maybe 3 weeks now. 2 weeks ago threw in a JB3 2.0, long cranks continued, checked BT Cable log and errors were HPFP related.
This morning however, I get the Half Engine light on my car and a very rough start. I turn the car off, wait, and turn it back on. The Half Engine light is gone, but there is white smoke coming out the exhaust. I left it running for maybe 3 minutes and the smoke was still coming from the exhaust so I turned off the car and parked it. What is the best course of action at this point, and in what order? I haven't done anything since I parked it and cabbed to work.

So you had long cranks for 1 week then decided to put in a JB3 knowing that the car possibly had problems? Then drove it for another 2 weeks? Not the brightest thing to do IMO; unless I'm reading your post wrong.
I would REMOVE the JB3 and any other mods, and clear any codes, then take it in to the dealership. I'm guessing you're still under warranty... |
