mm i might start with $35k , see if they go for it...im gon wait a little longer though maybe a month...this is going to be the 2nd bmw im buying..first one was CPO and i have some regrets but with my next purchase im going to wait for the right car and price...before i wanted a bmw so bad i jumped on a 328 E92 even though my dream was a 335 but the price was more appealing

invoice on these cars is only about 1800 off sticker. so don't get too excited about those huge discounts. it really depends whether the dealership is willing to lose money on the deal. twoturboz, that sounds like a ridiculous deal, and if you actually got away with that, it must be a weird ass configuration at a small dealership because no major dealership would lose 4k on a car BEFORE the next model year came out. So, Alpine3, don't expect an $8k discount - it just doesn't happen often on low-end BMW's.

BMW is already giving the buyer free leather and IPod connector. So right off the bat you get essentially a 2K discount. Loan rates are very good so add another 2K plus whatever discount you get from the dealer. Add it all up and the typical buyer is getting 5-6K that's on a 2011. So perhaps you can get the 10 for 5-6 K off MSRP.

Like others have said, its going to vary depending on a lot of factors, one of the major being the market you're in. I would expect around 4K off MSRP. And to maxnix, how the heck were you able to get a similar deal to twoturboz seemingly crazy deal on an ordered 2011. If you were, even factoring dealer holdback, etc, I see the dealer losing money. Saving 7K+ on a brand new 2011 ordered 1 just does not seem possible, sorry.

there's no such thing as trunk money w/ BMW. you're thinking of MB. BMW has rebates on 2010's, but that's AFTER the new models come out... sometimes months after.

BAsically I was going to get an Msport with AT (wanted manual but whatever),, and a few other little things that came out to my payment. Ended up getting the car next to it that was identical with Premium and Nav. Nice. You just need to know how to play it right. Not to mention they had that awesome loyalty MF rate that month so the interest rate is around 3%. So I basically stole it. I mean, they made me PAY for the floor mats. What does that tell you? ahah

lol "...need to know how to play it right". I'm a client advisor for BMW man. It doesn't matter if you go through a fleet manager or not. Sometimes its just easier if you DON'T know how to play it because they're encouraged to gain market share and not always make profit. Generally, client advisors and salespeople are encouraged to make profit.
It doesn't matter in particular with my company because Valencia BMW(where I work) is part of AutoNation(largest dealership network in the country), and we have a low price guarantee. So if you go to ANY salesperson for AutoNation, they have to give you the best price when you're comparing apples to apples. In fact, I offered to beat another 1addicts member's deal by $500, AND HE GOT HIS PRICE FROM SHOPPING INTERNET/FLEET MANAGERS. And everyone pays for floor mats, they're not standard. Most of the time they can throw it in the deal, its just how you structure it. Whether they show it to you or not, you're still getting charged at least cost for the floor mats. So if you, or anyone you know wants a REAL deal with no BS, and nothing hidden - my company is 100% about FULL DISCLOSURE. I give all of the details, and let you know where and why numbers are the way they are. |

there was an 09' this year around march at that dealership, but it was bone stock...msrp was 37,800 and they let it go for 31k...granted it was a leftover, but with the 11's out id say 10's are leftovers aswell

I don't regret the CPO but the 328. I wanted a 335 but CPO 328 and 335 were like $6k apart

Ever hear the old saying "there is two side to every story." I'm sure a dealer would not loose $4K, They are probably doing a couple of things to recoup some/all loss. They often screw people on trades. Manufacture rebates. Also if they are over inventory, they are paying the bank a free to keep extra cars on the lot. not to mention the interest they are already paying.
