Just wanted to post really quick to introduce myself. I am hoping to get a 2011 135i here in the near future. I currently own a 2008 Habanero Red Honda Civic Si (324whp) with the following performance mods:
Injen SRI TWM Short Shifter TWM Shift cable bushings DC Race Header Comptech Stage 2 Supercharger 3.15" pulley Go Power 3" Stainless steel exhaust Wheel/Suspension Upgrades: Skunk 2 springs SPC Rear camber arms SPC front camber bolts HFP 18" bronze rims Progress rear sway bar Anyways...tuning the car was a lot of fun but now I'm looking for something a little more age appropriate that I can still slighlty modify to put my own personal touch on but for the most part I would leave OEM for reliability. So please excuse me if I show up in a thread asking some silly questions but I am new to looking into BMW's but I do know how to use the search function so if i ask it's because I was unable to find it. So I look forward to learning more about these cars and getting mine sometime soon! |

Welcome to the bimmer community. I'm not certain how much tunning is available for the new N55 motor in the 2011, but it seems that alot of the tuners seem to be working on it.

well I'm just doing my research and all...I've had my fun tuning I'm just wanting a nice fun drive off the lot car. As for putting my own touches on it they will be minimal I'm sure. I'm tired of having a newer car that is under repair all the time..the upkeep on a tuned vehicle can be somewhat costly.

Welcome!
I'm new here myself. Your SI sounds like a rip. I used to live in the Chick's Beach area many moons ago. How does your SI ride on the roads around there? I had 500/600 lb springs in my old 330 and that thing would practically bunny hop on some of VA beach's roads.

^ The ride isn't too bad but I have hit some areas that feel like they are going to send me through the roof. My Si is a ton of fun and it's a little rocket with the Comptech Supercharger installed. I'm actually getting ready to start pulling all of the aftermarket components off in preperation to seel it for when I get the 135. I went to the BMW dealer last week and checked one out but I think the dealer here in Newport News is asking too much for the car. They wanted almost 50k for it with all of the options I was looking at. So I looked it up on the COSTCO car buying program with everything I want and it came up for 37k. Hell...for that much of a savings I don't care where the car is I'll fly to go get it and road trip it home.

$50K?! Damn, that's pushing it!
You wonder who gives it to them that they feel justified posting it? The Costco route sounds good. I'd drive one of these back from anywhere in a heartbeat, great excuse for roadtrip. It'd be a blast!

Ex-Honda guy myself, I loved them but I am now a BMW convert. I do miss my 06 S2000 at times, but my 335i was great and now my 135i is fitting the bill perfectly.
