You obviously have not looked at how the 1-series rear sway bar is mounted. Much different than the E36/E46.

I'm a pretty daring wrench wielding car hack, and that's more than I would want to attempt (and I've done many swaybar installs before - along with many other things to my past bimmers). |

Chill? Thanks for the advice.
You were the one who said you did the front/rear on your past bimmer and SPECIFALLY mentioned replacing SWAYBARS. Nobody "called you" on mentioning the "rear" word... |

Sorry for the confusion. I guess it was a little unclear on how I worded it.
P.S. I'm using your review to install my front sway bar. Did you leave the black rubber inserts inside the bushing when you installed it, and grease it as well? My previous sways were H&R (i.e. no grease).

I removed it, after never getting it to not bang (no matter how it is adjusted), even with purchasing another set of aftermarket end links, after the UUC adjustable end links rusted solid after 3 months.
I'd recommend the E93 M3 bar or the Hotchkis bar over this one. The UUC one is not up to quality standard of past UUC parts I've purchased... not even remotely close. |

UUC's front bar doesn't fit on any 1er without bumps and scrapes. I've tried to save others from having the major problems I experienced. Sorry you didn't read any of my many warnings about that product. Be grateful it didn't rip your brakes lines out, and slice the ABS pulsers in two, like mine did.

Just finished the M3 front bar install on my 128. Straight forward install, the DIY allowed me to make sure I had all the tools necessary before getting car up on ramps. Thanks.

Where can you get lithium grease? Local hardware store? Home Depot (US retail chain)?

This is the brand I used on my M3 and it works great ! Regarding installing the Rear Bar, I wouldn't recommend doing it unless you have a access to a lift. |
