Changes in iDrive Since Reprogramming
My 135 was "REprogrammed" this week.
So far, I have noticed that the phone book has a new design... It also seems quicker off the line (I have yet to REALLY test it because of all the FU#@ING SNOW AND ICE ! Have any of you noticed any big/small changes to iDrive ? Joseph

unhappy camper
Mine was re-programmed yesterday. My service guy did not give any specifics when I asked what the programming entailed.
They had the car all day and when I got it back I immediately noticed a pretty dramatic difference in several areas. The first was the noise level was a lot more damp as in quieter. This alone was enough to upset me. The next was that the idrive revved up a TON more in the RPMs and was slow to shift into high gears compared to before and there was allot less popping sound from gear to gear. And last it appears the DTC kicks in allot more now. Overall I am unhappy with the update. Not sure what to do but I am going to ask them for a rollback of the programs: Open Campaign 0012050300 - E8X E9X Programming DME B12 22 10 Open Campaign 0028010100 - Program Only with ISTA/P 2.40.1 Or Higher Update: They will not roll them back. I asked. Last edited by JaxBMW; 02-01-2011 at 12:21 PM.. |
