How easy is it to mess up a stock rim?
While parking and half asleep this morning I curbed it and it sounded LOUD. I was too pissed at myself to look at it and just walked into work. Do these things get messed up easily?

The stock rims bend after driving NEAR potholes. Not to mention one rim costs as much as 2.5 aftermarket rims.
I don't think curbing the wheel would put it out of round unless you had some serious momentum though. |

I hit unmarked lane construction and bent both rims and immediately regretted not getting the wheel and tire coverage once I saw the repair price

Well turns out I just scraped the shit out of them.. pretty pissed at myself.
Just out of curiosity how much does it normally cost to get aftermarket + rubbers all together? |

I always figure about $1500-2000 to get you in to a wheel/tire setup that gives you a lot for your money.

I'm unsure what to do, since I still have good rubber but the scratch annoys the living shit out of me. |

Well you can buy new wheel and re-mount your existing rubber and upgrade to better tires once these wear out. Or 2nd option is to get your wheel refinished. Should be around $100.

a lot of people get rid of oem wheels. You might even find just one on ebay.
