Kumho XS vs Dunlop Star Specs
I've driven several cars with the Dunlop Direzza Z1, and I've been very happy with those. But I'd like to run 8.5" wheels all the way around. I've put my rear wheel in front with a 10mm spacer, and the 245/35 will barely clear. I have the M3 control arms, and I've removed the camber pin. For ride quality, I'm not ready to move to camber plates yet. So that means a 245/35-18 is the biggest tire I'm going to be able to run in front.
So I can either get 4 Kumho XS in that size, or if I want to go with the Dunlops, I could run the 255's in back and the 225's in front, but a 225 seems a little small for an 8.5" wheel, and the 235's are a bit too tall IMHO. Any suggestions?

Are you running the 245's in front on the OE 7.5" wheels, or are you running 8.5" all the way around?

I believe the kuhmos run pretty narrow. I think I remember someone saying they even stuffed a 265 kuhmo xs up front. wacky i know, but I swear I read it.

I have a set of 245/40/17 BFG R1's and measure close to 265MM and they don't rub sort of... at the track the fronts rub if I get on the curbing or in a couple of the bumpy high speed corners. (more camber might solve that) |

I was thinking about running this setup: 225/40R18 up front 245/35R18 in the rear Do you have pictures of how the 245's look up front? Can I go larger on the stock 5 stars?

I would not recommend 245's on the stock 7.5" wheels. Also, you will need extra negative camber to fit the 245's in front, even at stock ride height like mine.
