Drifting 135i
This past weekend I was able to take my car out to Willow Springs Raceway and join the Just Drift crew for one of their Top Drift Competitions. When I showed up I was promptly told to move my car because "spectators cant park here!". Turns out i was a competitor but just didn't have the normal drift car... Ended up having a blast and was accepted by most people even though my car came from the wrong continent because some of you are going to ask mods kw v3 vorshlag camber plates Dinan stg II flash BrRacing Roll Bar breyton gts-r wheels 245s up front and 235s in back (normally i run a square setup but cost and the fact this car likes to understeer made me go smaller in the rear) hotchkis front sway hp autowerks endlinks!! Big thanks to Harold @ Hp for overnighting them to me at the last minute! I think thats it. LSD hopefully coming soon(when i can afford). I dont really have money to properly set it up so if anyone knows somebody.... HOOK IT UP I have tons of video but I am terrible at editing so il post up some more when i get time if anyone wants to see it. here is a quick lap of HTM Last edited by wolfson.tyler; 05-05-2011 at 07:26 PM.. |

To embed a YouTube video, you take the ending of the URL: SYZUHcGd3qI
and put the [u2b ][/u2b] tags around it. Like so (if you quote my post, you can see how I did it) As for the video, pretty damn cool! For a car that is built to understeer on purpose (stock), you made that look easy! |

Question: it didn't look like you were traveling very fast during the first entry... what was your speed?

yep tires burn off quickly..
first day i used 2 sets. with 4 30 min sessions. those were 420 treadwear so they lasted a while until they started tearing to shreds. only had enough $ to buy one more set of rears for the second day and burned those off in 20 min. Saving up for the next day now, hopefully il have enough tires to do the actual comp and not just the practice. as far as speed i couldnt tell you. i think like 3500-4000 rpm in second.. could have entered much faster but dont have the skill to flick the car and my ebrake doesnt seem to do much at all. |

Congratulations wolfson. You should give us the heads up when you're going out again. I am sure more than a couple of us will come out to cheer. Put some cash aside for the LSD. However great your drifts have been so far, they'll be much better with the LSD, I'm almost sure. good luck man and keep sharing.

But I think you do, man. As I see it, your limiting factor right now is that LSD. Get it in and that'll surely show them.
