Coilover Install in Raleigh
Does anyone know of a good place to have coilovers installed with corner balance and alignment? I'm thinking about using import performance on Hillsborough street.

Give Import Motor Werks a call (formerly MPowered Automotive) and see if they can do it. They're in Cary on Woodwinds Industrial near the Cary Parkway/Old Apex intersection.

I have already met up with Jordan (shop manager) and talked with him bout some future possible mods on my 1er and seen his shop, met his guys, etc. Its a good place. Fairly small but the know-how is def there and he can do alignments, balancing, everything pretty much. |

Import performance quoted me $600-700 today for install and alignment. Seems pretty steep compared to prices I have seen other people pay. I can't image it takes very long if they know what they are doing and have the right tools.

How long do you think it takes to professionally install a set of springs and struts/shocks. Uninstall and install the coilovers, same bit, that and you need to have them adjusted, plus an alignment (another hour for one done after a suspension install). $600 is not bad. If a shop is doing a fast halfass job for say $300, then that's exactly what you'll get.
I still have yet to have this shop do anything for me, but they have a great rep, lots of well known sponsers, loads of known reviews on bmw forums for the area and like I said I visited their shop and they have their shit together and are honest and professional. |
