29 Days Old and Hit Already
Anyone know what options I have regarding my neighbor opening his door into my 29 day old 1 Series and causing a significant ding? It's very noticeable, even from across the street; that's how bad it is. I witnessed the whole thing, but by the time I grabbed my shoes and ran out, he was gone. I'm waiting for him to come home right now. If he denies it and does not cooperate, what are my options? :

Hit and run. I guess you could call the cops? Or one of those dent repair places. Is the paint chipped? IF it is then you will need a repaint job. Sorry, I feel for you.

Thanks. The paint isn't chipped, but the dent is deep and right on the crease just below the rear driver's side window. It's more of a dent than a ding.

I'd approach him/her and see if they fess up and pay. If not I'd call the cops and make a report. I didn't even have 2200 miles on mine before someone bumped my rear. Fortunatly I did catch the person, I'd be in jail for a bit.

Just talked to my neighbor. While his visitor denied it, he was very cooperative and asked that I get an estimate and we'll work it out from there. Boy, I'm glad I calmed down before he got home.

Six weeks later and it gets hit again. Same dent (only bigger). Same neighbor (his girlfriend's kid actually, just like last time). Same parking spot (my assigned parking spot!). Unbelievable! You would think he would have learned a lesson after he shelled out $175.00 six weeks ago to get the first dent fixed!

dude, trying parking your car slanted within your own space. this is what I do and it helps with some extra space for either side parking spaces. obviously you have an idiot for a neighbor and you should get proactive with taking precautions.
