Srtup mount washers for camber changes?
Just read an article about c/o's in a street BMW, Mike Essa I believe. On page 3 in the last picture he used washers to gain some negative camber..interesting? Any input on this? I am also looking for street driven numbers for camber. Did a search and found no hard numbers. I was guessing around -.5 to -1 should be attainable w/o washers just removing the pin though I am not 100% researched on this yet. If we added washers possibly more though I think that machining a washer may be more acceptable as the tolerances on stamped washers is marginal at best. A machined plate would provide even more solid contact than washers.Anyone try the washer trick? We used to use it for Kart racing but the stresses were not a high in that situation.
Sorry forgot the link http://www.motoiq.com/magazine_artic...-reviewed.aspx

the washers only works on the E36 3 series strut. I used this method 12 years ago on my E36 but the 1 series has a totally different front suspension other than the fact it's a strut.
