tires also tend to come with a ton of silicone on them to make them look pretty when they are first installed, so once you do get that layer off by driving, it may change 100%

Fun treat today:
Went in to get my front swaybar greased today at a local suspension shop, and asked them to look at the rear end in case anything jumped out at them as to why the suspension has seemed wooly since the new tires were installed. They told me that both rear KW shocks are blown, and the fronts are weeping. I guess daily driving on San Diego roads for 15k miles is the equivalent of 100k miles on normal roads Have to call KW on Monday to see about warrantying the parts. Shop quoted me roughly $450 to change the set out when I get new ones, BMW South County quoted me $2500 to do the same thing. Fun times, ahoy. |

5 days, and $2,700 later, I'm now on BMW Performance suspension (springs, shocks, front sway). Off with the Hotchkis sway and KWs. Also had the alcantara steering wheel face and passenger window motor replaced under warranty.
Just wish the new springs would hurry up and settle. |

How do you like the BMW performance suspension v KW set up? Maybe you need more time on the twisties in CA.

BMWP is softer for sure, less dash rattles. Handling feels better, but that's likely because the KW dampers weren't dampening.

Update:
Some random man in a 37' long truck didn't like me parking next to him yesterday, so the car is in for repaint due to him keying both sides of the car. Pretty fucking stoked |

Are you kidding me! What are you doing with this car? Taking it off of jumps? Hitting speed bumps at 100mph screaming woo hoo? |

I like all of what you've done to it. Sorry to hear about what happened, though. I'm sure all of us BMW drivers have been the victim of aggression due to people's jealousy. |
