And it's installed, fits and looks great. I couldn't get my hands on the 3M adhesive remover, so I had a hell of a time alternating between Goof Off, WD40 and some generic petroleum-based adhesive remover I found in the garage.
For anybody else doing it the hard way and having trouble removing the residue, I found that as soon as your cloth (you are using microfiber, right?) began to turn grey from the OEM adhesive, it was useless. Fold it, flip it or swap it for another and keep rubbing--it'll come off eventually. The Goof Off worked great for removing the residue after the bulk of the original tape and foam was off, but it was all elbow grease up to that point. I prepped the paint by claying and hitting it with a buffer using Menzerna IP1500 prior to the alcohol wipe-down and mounting. |

i just installed mine. It took all of 10 minutes. The hardest part was putting the tape on the spoiler. Wasnt hard, better word would be most time consuming. I used dry erase pen to mark the lines when i test fit. Best $88 I ever spent. Really can't see spending more than that on a spoiler like this.

Likewise, installed mine yesterday. Removing the original 135i spoiler was the hardest part. Install was a breeze after that. I opted for jet black on my SGM 135i to give it a bit of contrast

Looks fantastic! Id typically be worried with the fitment because of how cheap it is, a lot of spoilers like this have fitment issue since they were made cheaply. But it looks great!
Whered you get it from?

Ordered mine and it showed up 8 days later.
BMW Performance spoiler - box by Jake Spence Photography, on Flickr Installed it over the weekend. The adhesive holding down the factory spoiler was a pain to remove. The new one was easy to mount and fits perfectly. Paint match is spot-on. How did you guys remove the residue from the old 3M adhesive? It's a PITA to try and remove majority of the foam core. But now, I'm left with a very thin layer sitting on top of the paint..

Yes, I agree, the removal was the biggest PITA. I continued to spray the 3M adhesive removal cleaner on the trunk to get as much as I could off. Then followed with some rubbing compound to clean the up the paint as the new spoiler does not fully cover the original.

Never through automated but I've washed it dozens of times and it looks as good as the day I put it on. Even if it did start to peel off for the money it's almost worth it to buy a backup one just in case it ever falls off

A few pics for you all. Fitment and quality is outstanding even for a $250 part much less an $88 one.
