^^i was charged 1 hr labor, even though the dealer said it took 2 hrs total. Who knows for sure, but I was quoted a little over 700.00 installed w/tax and that is what I paid...out the door.

Just got back, and they are holding firm at $250 labor. Telling me it takes up to 6 hours to download the software, and a technician needs to be available to troubleshoot if necessary. So, yet another version of the story...
I was in at $650 OTD. Not sure about $750 plus tax... |

I wouldn't trust them to do my car. Say, if you payed $650, and the labor was firm at $250, then they discounted the $599 part to $400? Last edited by MPBK; 11-22-2011 at 11:10 PM.. |

No. They previously were at 599 uninstalled, 750-ish installed. When the price dropped to 509, I expected the overall price to drop $90, to 660. No dice...

It can take 1 hour or it can take over 6 hours. They told me that my car took all day and they had to start over the next morning.
I paid 599 and no labor. They told me "we didn't charge the labor because it took so long. Sorry for the inconvenience.". Funny thing is I didn't complain. If you ate on the fence DO IT. I love my car now. Throttle response is instantaneous now. The added acceleration and mid range punch are very noticeable. The car sounds amazing now too. Whenever I let of the gas it crackles and burbles like crazy now. |

I paid $613 for mine, and the only thing I miss since the upgrade was the ability to blip the throttle to hear the exhaust when sitting at a light. Now the car doesn't do that, accelerating from a stop is a lot smoother now though. So is shifting.

So I ordered my performance version 1 kit from the dealer on 11/18. They said it will take 5 to 7 days for it arrive. Still haven't heard anything back from them. Does it usually take this long to arrive? Should I call and complain to hopefully score a discount for bad service...
They are charging me $800 out the door including part and installation (labor) I was wondering what you guys think and what you would do? |

my dealership took a day to get it... it shouldn't take that long to get a code from BMW... you should complain... what dealership did you go to?

Production date of the car: 01 JUN 2008 Mileage: 29,966 Miles Is there anything I should be aware of? Like spark plugs, etc. Bittersweet moment for me...I am happy because of the upgrade but sad b/c I ended up paying 800 out the door for part and install. Also they charged me tax on the part, is that right? Thanks for the help dudes... |

My dealer lists it at $850 installed. The fact that I have a 20% discount is unrelated. |

Just picked up my car with the v1 ppk. Very limited driving so far, but the gain is noticeable. I did not notice any change to exhaust note.
It took three days for them to do the install. Luckily I had a loaner. The SA said that they had trouble doing the flash and that, in the end, it turned out that a problem I had reported with my bluetooth was related (bad board). Total out the door price was 585 (parts) + 305 (labor). |

Just had mine done a few days ago, noticable difference in pick up, throttle response, and sounds deeper. Overall I'm happy I did it, wasn't night and day but I can tell its there. I paid 600 for the part and 100 for install at my local dealer
