zbladejr, mine arrived at the port on Sunday 5/18. I'm hoping for a pickup this Friday/Saturday as well, but I'm not sure its very likely. Would be great to have it for the long weekend. Any update on your pick up date?

The maps can be all messed up if you're not logged in. Anyway I just checked it again and it's in the English channel. So as long as it doesn't need to stop at one of the ports in the UK then you should be starting the trek across the Atlantic by tomorrow.

The Falstaff has dropped of Sailwix as she is supposed to go through the Canal sometime the morning of the 21st. Hope it is not too early in the morning so I can get some pics to post.

No update yet. Left CA message today; hope to hear from him tomorrow. Friday/Saturday would be awesome - but you know what, after all this waiting, I can go beyond the weekend I guess. Let us know if you hear anything about yours. I'm picking up in Darien, CT. Need to set-up insurance though.

When I got the call that my car was ready to be picked up, my CA asked for my insurance agent's name and number. He called the agent with the particulars (VIN, etc.), and a temporary insurance card was waiting as part of the delivery paperwork. I didn't have to do anything.

Z, same thing for me. rep asked for my insurance info yesterday, it's already set to start coverage saturday when i finally pick up from Park Ave BMW, Maywood, NJ in the afternoon.
anyone else doing the penfed 4.25% auto loan?

It looks like the Falstaff started it's journey through the Gatun locks at about 8:30 am Pacific Time and went through the first set by about 10:18. I have read it takes from 6 to 8 hours to make the journey from the Gatun locks to the Miraflores locks so sometime late afternoon Pacific Time, she should be cruising through the Miraflores locks.

Well, it is about 3:30 Pacific time and the Falstaff has just passed the Centennial bridge. Might miss watching the MiraFlores locks passing due to my commute time

I just went to the dealership to look around and i saw my car!!!!! i will be picking her up friday afternoon!!! i cant wait.

Turns out traffic was nice today so I was able to get the Falstaff going through the Miraflores locks. Next stop.....Port Hueneme on the 28th!!!!

Z, I'm picking up at the same dealer and waiting to hear back about mine. Thanks for the update and hope we're both driving our new 1ers by this weekend.

Iceman: what if you're on the truck and I'm not? LOL.
Hope we both get them. What color you going with. Mine's BSM on black leatherette with glacier trim. CA said he doesn't think any 6MT have come through yet. In his words 'we've only delivered about 5 or 6 so far'. They're all just as excited about the cars as we are.

Ah, clever, the reverse jinx. Now you'll be on the truck and I won't, LOL. Don't get me started on the lack of manual transmissions on sports cars in this part of CT. I've got my fingers crossed for both us us. Good luck. I'll post again when I hear something new.

NOOOOOOO!!!! Just got an email from my SA. My car's not there yet, and even if it gets to the dealership by the end of business today, it's unlikely I'll be tooling around in it for the long weekend.

According to info on the Port Hueneme schedule, looks like there are 828 BMW's and 506 Mini's along for the ride!

Yours is on the truck for sure - in fact you've probably picked up, because I talked to my CA yesterday and he said 'pick-up on Tuesday'. Bummer - wanted the weekend!!! :iono:
