STANDBY! I may have a solution to your problem... Don't put crap on the seat!!! it's as simple as that lol put it on the floor, the back seat, or even that big open space in the back, that's made to put crap in. Problem solved |

I love my little car. It's just the 128i, but it's plenty fast, handles like it's on rails, just a blast overall. Everytime I start it up I smile!

I have a vert too; it does get a bit annoying when the windsheild and pillars creak, like theres too much tension there... but then ive owned a couple of verts and its the nature of the beast... i bore of cars quickly so after 1yr im ready for a change but thats not the 1s fault.

Try shipping your 135i across the Atlantic Ocean--TWICE, and while you're waiting that long month and half for the slow boat to arrive, drive a crappy rental car around and you'll soon yearn to drive your 1'er again! Yes, I admit that at times our relationship has been a bit monotonous and boring. However, everything in life eventually goes that way. If you're really sad about your purchase, put her in the garage for a while, go / rent drive another car around for a while, and then come back to her happier than ever. It's about perspective.
Or, take a road trip and try to spice things up a little. For me, I'm happy that in 2 weeks I'll have my car in Germany--back to the motherland where she was made. Back to the roads she was meant to be driven on. I can seriously cannot wait!!!

I agree with OP. Car is very shaky and as result feels really cheap. So never will buy this car again. Z4 is much more solid, although speed bumps kill it as well.

I am bored with my car as it is getting boring to drive. Its actually to quick and if you just get on the car a little bit your are excessivly speeding. You can never drive the car hard on the roads as you would go to jail, therefore all you are doing is putsing around in it. Slower cars are more fun because you can still beat on them and not be killing the speed limit.

Basically, it's more fun to be able to put the pedal down and drive a slower car hard, than have to go easy on the throttle and drive a fast car slower. That being said, wow this thread came back from the dead! My 1er is brand new still, so kind of hard to fall out of love with something less than a month old!

Well, having driven a 1995 Celica with a four-banger for the last 10 years, and now driving the 1er for the last two weeks, I can respectively disagree!

My last car was an RX-8 - much slower than a 135i, especially at low to medium RPMs, but it revs to 9000. Of course that kind of engine is a blast in some ways, having to shift so much, but definitely not in the slam you back in your seat way.
My 135i's stock suspension was a bigger problem. After driving the RX-8 for 5 years, I was bored to tears by my 135i's grandmotherly handling. But many dollars in suspension mods later, I fucking love this car and can't imagine that another car out there could make me as happy. |

I have to admit...my 135i has been a yawn fest compared to my brand new 2010 cooper S....I guess I'll have to JB3 it to even the stakes.

I am talking about sporty cars not a worthless terd like a prius. My other car is a 91 civic hatch with literally everything in the sun done to it. Its a good track car but it is way more fun to drive than my 135i on the road. I am thinking I should of gotten an exige.
