176,000 mile update
Two items to report:
1). Third brake light lens separated from mount. Luckily it fell out of the trunk lid without breaking, so I've used Gorilla Glue to put the lens back in place. Will see if it holds. If not replacement light is $80. 2) it appears my DSC hydraulic pump needs replacing. Will check codes tomorrow. Choices are: a) OEM replacement - $2K for the part b) Bosch rebuild kit - $1K c) Send pump to Module Masters to be rebuilt. 5 year warranty. $250 DIY appears easy, except for bleeding the ABS system. |

Now at 81k. Still dealing with an intermittent DCT overheat warning (yellow gear with thermostat). Suspect a bad sensor or software issue. Also a slight bubble on the dash by the passenger airbag
Otherwise, she's doing just fine. DCT issue is highly sporadic and she starts up and drives everyday. |

My car just turned over 70k miles yesterday on my way home. Im going to look into what maintenance I should do at this point. Maybe brake fluid, power steering, diff, and trans? Oil change it due at 72K miles (I change it every 5K miles)

Was the injector cleaning necessary? What was the process?

Just turned 146K miles, and the blower fan motor is starting to squeal again after OE replacement 3 years ago (80K - 100K). Original turbo wastegates rattling a little more but not horribly (yet) - the silver linning of tinnitus. t

73k miles.
Already posted about Battery replacement, valve cover gasket replacement and oil filter housing gasket replacement ($1200). In December I had the oil changed and they replaced the oil pan gasket at that time. ($800). Just this week my service engine soon light has come on so I need to go down to Autozone and see what the code is. Hopefully it won't be expensive. |

I'm at the 47k mile mark so I'm in the mid. I bought my '08 135i used so I am not sure if the HPFP has been replaced, but from what I heard that doesn't make a difference?
Ever since I got my car I've been seeing a lot of people having issues with the HPFP on here. At 47k should I be worried? |

A dealership can scan your key/vin and tell you if it's been replaced. Worried? I don't think so. The warranty was extended to 100k right?

180,000 miles!!!
No repairs/maintenance items since last post. Since I use a 60K miles service interval on my spark plugs/belt I'm due for replacement. But I'm going to wait for April so I can DIY. Will also replace all original OEM coils at that time as a preventive measure. On to 200K miles. |

My 2008 135i has 127k
127k Passenger window regulator Passenger lock actuator Valve cover gasket leak 100k Driver window regulator and lock actuator 80k Pad and rotors Water pump and thermo Vacuum lines Oil filter gasket Plugs and coils 70k Crankshaft sensor All in all that's all I could think of. I feel like if you replace of fix something you won't have to fix it agin for a while since Bmw always make new revisions. To correct prev mistakes |
