Btw, Mwerks finally posted an update on their 135 project car which includes those wheels along with some suspension mods.

Here's a thought: Go to your local automotive paint store and by a pint of your car's paint code and a fine brush and hand paint the stripe to match your car color.

18x8.5 non-staggered setup anyone?
I think the Breyton GTS-R is a great looking wheel, and more importantly, lightweight. However, I want to go non-staggered with 18x8.5 at all four corners. To accomplish this wheel spacers of 7 or 8mm thickness are required to yield an effective offset of 40-41mm. Nobody currently makes this size spacer for BMWs.
Now we have a commercial 1Addicts memmber, Chad Cutter of Velocity Motorcars, that has come out with a new line of what looks to be very high quality wheel spacers. Althought the 7-8mm size is not in his current line up, he's willing to custom machine a run of 8mm spacers with the required hub-extenders (the best and safest way to use spacers) for a group of us. If you are interested, check out his thread on the spacers for more info and add your name to the 8mm list. Let's square up with the new Breyton GTS-R!

Will the TPMS sensors of the stock 135i wheels move over easily to these Breyton's? I just don't want to buy the wheels, go to my local Discount, and then have them tell me it isn't possible to move the sensors over due to fitment issues.

Red Stripe
Quote:
Personally, my red stripe was obviously done by hand originally and isn't the best job. I'd go ahead and get the wheels and get some Montego paint and have a unique look on your car. Just bring the wheels in the living room and paint them up. In 7000+ miles, I only had a few comments on my car and since I've put these wheels on, I get positive comments daily. The TPMS fit just fine. |

Breyton Red Be Gone
OK, I'm no Rembrandt so don't flame me for my shaky painting hand. Left is obviously Gunmetal with red stripe. Right pic is red painted over with satin black. A little brake dust and it should look good on my SGM, but that will be several weeks yet.

Mikeo, looks good I'm thinking of getting the Matt Black wheels and painting the red over with back. How hard was it to do? Think you need to sand the clear coat back? |

I'm probably in..the only reason I'm not going with these wheels are the 18x7.5s in the front.
If I can run a non staggered setup, I would get'em. Jeff Quote:
