This is Porsche's infamous / historic Fashion Gray (Modegrau) sir. No white here!! Pics are from my SA's cellphone in questionable lighting, plus the color is notoriously difficult to photograph... Enjoy!!

My dealer has told me repeatedly that paint to sample was not available on the GT4... I told him I'd buy one, only if I could do pts... now to see how cool this car looks in fashion annoys me!

well different price range and the GT4 is on a different level of performance to the 1M-------but i agree with you that in SPIRIT this is definitely the closest thing to the 1M. It's the lower end of a marque putting up enjoyment and performance to match its bigger siblings......just like the 1M did to the M3.....and IMO the GT4 is also very desirable just like the 1M was upon launch.
I haven't seen too many cars that can create that type of fascination. BMW had its chance to do it again with the M2 but i think they missed the target.... |

Different leagues in price. Also very different in terms of feel. With its aero and mid engine layout, Gt4 is a car that will almost never bite back. 1M is a little trickier at the limit. Not necessarily a bad thing IMO.
I think it would be cool if Porsche built a Cayman R in the same vein as the new 911 R. Cayman + 3.8 without GT4 aero package. |

Have had my GT4 for a month now. Just got called for GT3 RS. Now to decide wether or not to keep the 1M or GT4. What do you guys suggest? Its nice the 1m still is appreciating now and the GT4 could or could not do the same. ( I think it will depreciate but the demand is so high its difficult to tell)

Personally,
As much as it pains me to say this. Keep the 1M and sell the GT4. If you were going to sell your 1M for the GT4, id go GT4 all day. But it seems a little much to have two GT porsches, it might dilute the experience a little for you.

911 R sold out
911 gtr rs sold out for now GT4 will hold value, last of its kind, and the boxter spyder damn sexy topless, still tempting, lets see if the price creep down a little Turbo is the thing now for porsche, as much as I love the 1M, I love the 3.8 NA in my 911 better, the 1M will be my last turbo car and only one I want, I care less for all the newer faster models Porsche and BMW are coming out nowadays. Even tho the cayman and boxster is soooo good in turbo, but its not the same, its like the M2 to the 1M. If I can't have the GT4, I will be in the market for the boxster spyder down the road. These babies are rarely driven, they are garaged queen, so these owners will sell them pretty much new years from now lol |

the problem with speculators is that the car end up sitting and a sitting car is no good... I suspect the number of people that actually wanted to own the GT4 and drive them is still the majority although with a car like that, it's easy to flip for profit if you have the cash flow (as long as you don't get gouged by the dealer, ahem, I'm looking at the Richmond dealer that sold the M2 with $6K PDI)
