There any other options? Looks a little "ricey" to me sticking out like that, but the very busy rear diffusers also look a little "ricey" to me. |

There doesn't seem to be a perfect option, which would be exhaust tips that just fit correctly. I might just suck it up and do the CF diffuser and the deck spoiler - they really look good together on 1ers in person. And on Space Gray, the CF doesn't stand out too much. I'd have a hard time paying for it then getting it painted. And I don't intend on getting the other versions - fitment and quality matter to me.

Have you seen the carbon fiber deck spoiler one of the companies on here sells that is carbon fiber on top and partially underneath, but also painted body color on the underside? It's interesting looking. Would have to see it in person and wish it sat more flush. Haven't seen any carbon fiber on mineral grey, but imagine it'd be even less noticeable since it's darker than space. If only BMW made the same rear diffuser they make in carbon fiber just in the same matte plastic piece as the original diffuser, which would probably cost a lot less too. Hopefully we can crack the code, solve the matrix, and figure out the optimum solution...which may just be to save the money and perhaps say it's the only thing wrong with the car. |

I definitely think it is worth the money after listening to it the other day.
Also, rokjitt - did they charge you for the comfort access? I just ordered mine and on the online configurator it shows as $0, the dealer didn't believe me, but when I had him put it in my order, he was surprised and it shows on my order confirmation sheet it shows as no charge. Curious what they did with you. |

They just put it down on the order form then they will figure out how it goes. If it's no charge, they'll put it, but if not, if not. I think it's ridiculous. on the website states that it is no charge. |

Ya, my dealer warned me they may try to charge me once it arrives and I said, you can tell BMW they can eat the cost then because they listed it as no charge and that is why I selected it. That's their fault then, though might be a nice thank you present/glitch in their system when ordering a 135is. Should be interesting. Feels like a nice thank you gift. =)

Didn't get HK on mine because I drive with it off 95% of the time! But if you do want to listen to it, it's well worth it. Stock system is a bit flat sounding.

I wanted the HK sound too, but they really screw you if you don't order Navigation. Without nav, to get HK sound you have to order both 688 HK sound ($875) AND 639 BMW Assist with Bluetooth ($650). I don't think anyone can convince me that HK sound is worth $1,525... May have to at least do a speaker upgrade, or just leave the stereo off and listen to the exhaust.

Didn't go with HK either. No need for me.

It's just fine. I'm the last person to ask about sound system quality, as I just listen to the radio or the exhaust. Had HK in my last car and didn't really appreciate it, plus the speakers would rattle on it.

Yeah, I went the "I can always upgrade the speaker route" and didn't get it. Had the HK in my E46 and it was far better than now. But as said already, I just listen to the exhaust most of the time. Only time the radio/ipod goes on is on long distance trips.
Just did the first oil change. I REALLY want a dip stick back. Topside changes remove just as much oil (if not more) and don't require jacking the car up or splattering oil everywhere. And you can actually see how much oil you have WITHOUT having to run the car. To be safe, I measured how much came out and put the same back in. And then I drove till the system could check itself. PITA. Interesting bit, the oil filter is tiny. Nearly 2/3 the size of an E46 or even E30. Includes both o-rings instead of just the outer. Guessing a much higher pressure system. Also costs twice as much. Expensive o-ring. :/ Finally got around to installing the ///M guide bars in the rear. Doesn't entirely cure the rear torque steer, but it's a nice upgrade so far. Need to beat on it more to be sure. |

Funny, here's another 135is owner filming 7 minutes of the exhaust sound from outside his car as he drove around town. Really starts going at about 1:52 is the best/loudest/meanest part so far I've heard as it plays in the background while I work.
