You may feel that it is not fair, but when you put your deposit down has no effect on how BMW determines allocations.

Just put $2,000 down on the fourth and last allocation at Joe Perrilo in Chicago. Ordered an Alpine White stripper. Delivery expected in August. I'm so excited, I don't know how I'm going to sleep for the next five months.

FYI, for anyone in the midwest, or willing to travel: last week the Northbrook, IL BMW dealership still had one allocation available.

Quick update, my car is being produced in 15 days (apparently), I have just recieved e-mail conformation for ED on April 5th (little over three weeks from now). I'm heading to Techno Classico (Essen) on the 30th, pick up the car, and it's off to the Ring. I've never owned a BMW, I'm pretty excited about it.

I haven't been keeping abreast of the dates for the launch, I didn't realize this was out of the norm, although as gs/e60/1m? told me after my first post, it was agressive.
I've been driving a 7 yr old car w/200k+ on it, dying to find the right next car...One morning when I had planned to go to the Caddy dealer to buy the CTS-V Wagon a good friend passed me a copy of Bimmer and it had a little blurb about the 1M. I think that was last Sept. That morning I wrote Ryan and Darryl at Budd's BMW and told them I wanted one, "call me when you need money". I've been waiting patiently since then. The guys at Budd's have been incredible...staying on top of my order, communicating every time something transpired and getting this delivery organized to coincide with a trip I needed to make anyways. I'm starting to understand why so many are BMW fans!

I gave the deposit 12/27, and signed the actual contract for the one M the 01/21/2011.

I chose the black one and some gismos. final invoice is 58,6k€

Sooo happy to spend money and wait for ages!!!

I have no idea when it's gonna be delivered. I'm nearly blackmailing my dealer...

This is my first post.
I have drove E36 320i decade ago and this is my second BMW.
Currently I am posted in Vienna, Austria but will go back with my M1 to Japan in a couple of years.
My deposit was 12,000 Euro. Total price of ca 60,000 Euro without the navigation. I will sell my VW R32 for 10k, so I will pay ca 50,000 Euro for the M1.
