Nevermind, Chris has actually replied and said he got the transmission software flashed to latest. So time to call the dealer and see if we can get that software updated. Champion! |

Just did this a few minutes ago! Went to advance auto parts and bought the fitting and plugs. It does sound a little louder especially when starting and at idle. I am happy with this mod! 10/10

I did this a few weeks ago. It was funny. I reached into my golf bag to pull out a random tee to use and just so happened to pick this one out. Very apt.
As for the mod itself, I didn't notice much difference to be honest. It is marginally louder at idle and low revs but not really all that noticeable. The biggest difference I experienced is that the car now burbles and pops when I lift off the throttle in any gear. It used to only happen in 1st and 2nd and occasionally third. It now consistently happens in 4th, 5th and 6th also. It's subtle but it's certainly there. My opinion - it's worth doing but don't expect significant results. |

I was bored so I pulled the hose plugged it with a tee and put some electrical tape over and around the actuator so dirt would not get in. While I hear a difference it doesn't seem that major to me.
While thinking about this mod and the best way to do it, I thought about putting a plastic or brass shut off valve in the line. That way you could reach under and turn it on and off at will. You would need to get a couple of plastic vacuum line transitions from 1/4 to 3/16 but you could do the whole thing for about $10. If I decide to keep it active I might try it. |
