Yes, I think that would be a good place to meet up. At:

Wife has shown interest in visiting Nauders whilst Dad executes driving event!

I may be traveling in the Giant 4WD Teutonic Rocket Sled built in Liepzig instead of a nimble E82. This will easily move me into the forefront of the most fuel consumed category.

Potential for additional pax besides wife is a 3 year old course notes navigator and two four footed furry mechanics.

I also took off on Monday... so I will be hanging around. I will leave Friday to get down near that area. Then I will meet up early on Saturday to drive the Fuela Pass with Andre(Evolution80) and company. Before our tour of Festung Nauder's at 15:00.

I am not really sure to tell you the truth. I will drive down to Austrian/German border Friday night and stay at a hotel there. Then Saturday morning I will meet up with Andreas (Evolution80). It looks to be a three hour drive from there to Flüelapass. So I suppose we should be there around noon-ish. ?


It is only 60 km drive from Flüelapass to Nauders. But its a one hour drive.

I think we are meeting the others near Imst, Austria (Österreich). Maybe Andreas can chime in?

Sorry for my long absence… But the good news is I’m still in. I will be driving down Saturday in the am. Dackelone I pretty sure I will meet up with you guy before the 1500 fortress tour. But since I have to work on Monday again I have to drive back Sunday night.

UPDATE---- it’s been difficult to find a place for all of us and up to 20 cars because many hotels and pensions don’t have that many rooms and/or parking available during our Stelvio Pass drive dates. I have finally managed to find a hotel ( in Nauders, Austria) that can give us 15+ double rooms.

Right now I reserved for two nights, 16 Jun and 17 Jun, departing 18 Jun. Hotel is totally willing to work with us to shorten or increase the stay.

If you have two people per room, per person is 35euros when sharing a double room and 50euros if you want the room by yourself. … with free parking and free internet and free breakfast. Some of you might be traveling alone and willing to share a room with another person.

How does that sound for the group? I have made the 15 reservations in my name for now so please identify next to your name how many people you need a bed for.

The way I see it, we have a number of different situations so let's add the type of room so everyone gets their choice "if possible". The hotel has a reservation for 15 double rooms but we can probably make that more if more guys want a room to themselves.

Ok, guys,

For those of you who want to drive with me and Andreas (evolution80) on Saturday morning BEFORE the Fortress Tour@15:00 in Nauders...

Andreas and I will drive early Saturday to Flüelapass near Davos. I think a good place to meet some of the other guys who want to join us would be in Imst. How about we meet at this gas station at say 09:30am and we leave at 10:00am onwards to Flüelapass.

The wheels have been in germany for a couple months now. I dropped them off at the powder coater the day after i got back from the stan. He told me two weeks till they were done, which would have given me plenty of time, but today is the end of week 3, and they just got done sandblasting them on monday
