Greg, did your MPSS ever give off a funky rubber smell when tires were warm? My MPSS are. I pulled the tires to check for rubbing but am all good on that issue. I even chalked the inside tire wall to see if I rub during full suspension travel but I am good there as well.

Weird.

Hmm, haven't noticed any smell. Not sure how many miles you have on them yet, but I know they say it takes like 200-300 miles before the slippery crud wears off and they are fully broken in. You have 215/245s or 225/255s? Could it be a weird brake smell? Or everything bagel farts?

No weird smells on my PSS break-in period and I’m running 1 size up at 225/255…

I’m running 1 size up at 225/255 too. Funky melting rubber smell. I have no rubbing issues, I checked that. I'll keep an eye out on it.

Thanks boys!

Ya, I've never smelled anything. You sure it's not just the wind blowing in the smell of New Jersey? O=)

Did a quick google search and it brought back lots of results. Looks like that smell could be a sign of a wide variety of issues. If it's happening every time, I'd take it in.

Is it possibly brakes dragging? For that I typically feel the center of the rim for excessive heat (or closer to the disc hubs but BE CAREFUL please. Also, you said when the tires are warm, you're not out doing donuts when this smell happens, are you? Just sayin.

OK Greg, here you go..... better late then never. As you can hear. The 135is snap, crackle and pop remained the same after the Dinan tune. The bubbly burble remains the same too, while in overrun and decelerating.

Ooh nilly! That sure does sound deep and mean. I imagine it sounds even better while driving under actual load and not just sitting there revving. Thanks for filming that. Now I want to go drive my car!

Greg - where did you order your BMW PS from? I found few online sites that have pretty good pricing but s/h kills the deal (ECS is charging $100 for s/h lol).

Ooh, you finally going to do it?! I got mine from Jon @ bmwpartspros.com, as did Rick, which was definitely the cheapest price around at the time. I had a great experience with them, however I know Rick may chime in since he had some shipping issues as they shipped the springs in with the kit and while none of the parts were damaged, things flew all around in the box and the springs kinda shredded the inside of the box for the kit.

Getbmwparts's website is tough to figure out their pricing since it seems to double charge for the springs, but they do have their fall promo codes that may help. I'd say e-mail jon@bmwpartspros.com, see what the best price he can do and he knows the shipping issues with rick's so hopefully they can make sure that doesn't happen. Their price was so good, I picked it up from them at the BMW dealership to avoid shipping though I had to pay like $125 in taxes, but was also right on my way to HP Autosport.

Thanks, I've used PartsPros for other stuff but they're actually the worst in terms of s/h for this kit. $135 for UPS ground lol...

Nothing decided yet but just trying to see what deals are out there haha

I suggest e-mailing him, cause when I did just to confirm the part numbers, he responded with prices that were like $150 less than it was showing online. My total in parts was $1142. With tax and everything it ended up being about $1237 picked up. I know someone else on here got their local dealer to match the prices, so you'll get screwed on taxes, but not have to pay shipping.

Just wanted to add my 2 cents. Get it. You will like it. I've had the Performance suspension since June, and the car is much more composed. I got it from my local dealer and got a pretty good discount, and no shipping. Check with your dealer and ask for a discount before buying online, maybe you'll get a good deal, plus no shipping.

Steve, what did was the dealer labor and material charge for your Performance Suspension. Call me crazy, but I think the MPSS's I just put on makes my ride a little softer then what I was accustomed to when I had the run flats. In fact, I sort of miss my runflats and m3 subframe bushings combo vs what I have now which is the MPSS and m3 subframe bushing combo.
