Anybody have an N55 with cp-e DP and full Y-pipe BMW PE (no cats, no res, just PE muffler)?
Wondering if that will be too loud and or raspy for me.

Had a friend with a cpe downpipe/exhaust combo (I believe it was, or it was the oem exhaust) and he return to stock because of the drone and loudness.

Listen to my exhaust video. That's N55 catless DP with stock resonator and Muffler modded. It's really loud on cold start

I've never posted mine up. But here's a link to my set up. CPe catless downpipes and 3 inch straight pipe exhaust. Resonator and muffler deletes all the way. I don't think I've ever had a video of my car. Sorry for the short video Aswell, my phone was low on memory at the time :/

afe Mach Power XP on the N54
First performance mod -- the afe Mach Power XP, catback.
Planning the Cobb route, next, once carbon cleaning and tuning prep work is completed. Need to do an "in-cabin" video, and unfortunately it was a holiday weekend so trying to find any empty road to do runs, even heading out into the wilds, wasn't happening, so it's not a great set here. But, gives a general idea. I love it! No racket inside the car, and, from the outside, sounds very tame unless close up to the car, so it gives a nice surprise when you plant your foot. Love the aggressive bass!

i'm running a catless dp, straight piped to my performance exhaust. it's loud, it's raspy BUT its sexy. i'll post a vid at some point

The latest setup. I think I'm finally done. This is the perfect sound for me. It can be loud if I want it to but there is absolutely no drone on the highway. Also this allows for the least restrictive exhaust I could come up with while avoiding headaches and nagging.
