Dude...every time I read your OP I laugh hysterically. Not because of your misfortune...for that I am truly sorry.
It's just the way you worded your second sentence..."At first I thought it was vandalism..." That statement alone is what makes me understand and feel the WTF!!! moment you experienced when you first saw your car! I bet at first you thought someone had splattered white paint all over it...then you realized some birds got a case of machine gun ass and did their business. Again...glad you were able to get it cleaned off quickly with no issues but I can't help but laugh till I cry when reading your second sentence. SS

Here in Florida that kind of thing is really pretty common at the beach, although yours would be excessive. Get 20 pelicans in a "V" formation and yes, they do all unload at the same time....I don't know about other areas, but the pelicans in Florida will dump on a blue car everytime. Thank God I'm Sapphire Graphite...I found a huge dump on my car about two weeks ago(made my mind up if I was going to wash)diameter was probably about 5 inches(completely covered the rain sensor!!!) Looked strange, like there was a flying baby elehant in the area...These crap shots are pretty funny unless there isn't a hose around....Wax,wax,wax is my recommendation.......

You're very lucky that you caught it quickly....it certainly will etch the paint. Have you closely inspected the paint under light such as at a gas station at night under the florescents? It may have etched a bit anyway.

Your post sounded like a Steven King novel. I caught it within an hour, and some of it was not quite dry even. No etching I can detect. I think these birds were trying to do some art work, and were matching my interior. Maybe they just saw this BMW commercial picture. Last edited by Jaguar66; 07-13-2009 at 05:04 PM.. |

I think those birds were part of a WWII re-enactment. Bomb Munich boys! Stop BMW from making sparrow attack birds that shoot us down!

The same thing happened to my WRX recently, but I live in Colorado. I had never seen anything like it before.
