NEED HELP! Dark or Light Gunmetal?
OK: I have an 08 Monaco Blue 135 and I'm trying to decide whether I should get light or dark gunmetal wheels. What do you all think?

I have a hard time seeing these colors go well with your car. I would personally (IMO) go silver or hyperblack.
If you have already purchased go dark! |

everything on the car is blacked out, black kidney's, black 135i, and i want to do black tint and maybe black tint on rear lights...
i'm leaning towards dark gunmetal, but i don't like black wheels, i still want some pop |

I think youd be pleasantly happy with how sexy the contrast of blacked out grills, emblems, etc. is with some sweet hypersilver wheels, specially spaced out like the 701's or 710's

I think they both would look great. Just depends on what look you are going for. The darker...the sportier.

Silver would look best on this color. Darker wheels (both gunmetal variations) would make the car look very dull.

Dark all the way. The car is dark, but not black and dark gunmetal is a long way from black so I think they will go together very well.

I voted dark. OT sort of, but I'm not a huge fan of black wheels on a dark car. They should be kept on the lighter hue colored cars (there are exceptions though). The gunmetal wheels will look great on yours.

Having seen your car in person I would say Hypersilver would look the best.

hello group buy friend
I'm going with ti gunmetal for my AW. I think the sport gunmetal looks too dark for my car. In your case, in my opinion I think you should go lighter one since your car is dark. I'd go for hypersilver actually (see jzhang's car before his new wheels, I think it looks great with his hypersilver VMR V701's). But you do have a point that you have no chrome in the car... so I guess gunmetal would also look good. I think the same as miiipilot... darker for more aggressive, aftermarket look. lighter for a more subtle aggressiveness. I'm staring at your car then back at the wheels and honestly can't make up my mind, lol. I thought lighter gunmetal at first but that was 2 minutes ago, now I'm thinking sport gunmetal, lol... either one would look gorgeous, don't overthink it, go with your guts |
