Thanks mate...
I got it from JBSPEED: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=617837 And as you can see, they will do pretty much any colour you want (and yes, the first few photos are my car ). They also add an extra clearcoat on top after adding the stripe. They add the stripe after you order and that takes a week or so but mine shipped from their factory to my door in under 2 days.... |

I think personally those plates look sweet as. I wish Victoria had them. They look nice and clean and awesome. We have prestige plates, but I don't think they're made of plexi

I had seen a couple of other 1ers with the flexi plates - specifically Karl (BIZAU) and Vinney (BMW86) and they looked the business so I figured with this car, why not? |

Car looks incredible Angus. So wish i listened to you guys and bought one instead of the 135i, you chose the best colour, loving the VO with the blacklines, black badging etc.

Other states might do something similar - I don't know - but QLD has http://www.ppq.com.au (Personalised Plates Queensland) and they have an absolute butload of plate designs - if you're willing to pay...
Thanks mate.. Yeah... it is a different animal.... |

I'm thinking this sort of finish for the wheels (without the stripe around the edge of the barrel): |

Installed a set of white LED Interior Lights. Really happy with the result. They're not actually as bright as this picture makes them look. I think they're just about perfect.
Set includes:
14 lights. No error codes. All completely Plug and Play. Took about 1/2 an hour to install and half of that was figuring out how to get at the front lights. Cost: $70 |

Where did you get the LED kit from? What temperature are they? 6000K, 8000K? |

The white interior lighting makes a huge difference and you're right. Definitely feels more modern and not at all harsh. (Was afraid that it might feel a bit harsh/stark with pure white lighting but it doesn't at all.) |

Any tips or DIY's you found on fitting them Angus? Were the front ones tricky? |

Did mine almost straight after i picked up my car. Use a plastic tool to take the pannels off (a plastic ruler works fairly well). The bulbs can be a bit tricky to pull out. I found strong double sided tape works well getting them out. Stick the ends in around the globe so it sticks to it, squeeze a bit then pull globes out. Nothing difficult.
PrecisionLED has a how-to video i think somewhere as well. |
