Broken Arrow checking in (although I commute to Owasso every day).
Dam you RC, I saw you last night @ 61s and 129th... I practically had a cargasm flashing my lights, honking my horn, and giving you the thumbs up! Like I said on Green Country, the thought of having to sell my M3 + Firehawk + $10k loan just is a bit too much to swallow. There's an auto-x this weekend at the fairgrounds... you should go -edit, nevermind, I see that you plan on attending.

i put money down on a 135i saturday to order one. Only thing that sucks, is they said it will be until October when they get it in. they said that 4 people are ahead of me on the list... why would this matter, wouldnt they submit the list at once and have the cars built generally around the same time frame? doesnt make any sense why its going to take so long.. 3 months maybe but 7 months?!? wtf.

Your deposit IS refundable, so you may check the timeline elsewhere, though Cooper is a great dealership to build a relationship with. You could check BMW of Tulsa or even BMW of NW Ark in Fayetteville. I don't think that they will have as much demand. |

FYI, with BMW, their ordering is based on what they have sold, so selling 135s will allow them to order more. For example, if they have M6 stagnating on the lot, BMW NA will not let them keep ordering more and pile up the lot. This can be a problem if they are not being allowed to order more and a customer wants a special order. However, this keeps the inventory in check by not flooding the dealer with more and more cars.

Wow, October!!! I ordered my car the day before you did and Ron told me it would be 90 days. He did say that I was essentially getting a car that was in status 111, so I just assumed that it could be sooner than 90 days since it is a car they have already been allocated. But, what do I know maybe it will be 90 days.
Ron told me that they did cut their allocations to 28 cars for the year. 7 of each model. If you are 5th in line and they get only one car per month, seems plausible it could be October I'll get some more info on my location in line and let you guys know. I'm really glad to see so many Oklahoma guys on here!!! |

I ordered mine in February. BMW of Tulsa told me I wouldn't be able to place my "alotment" until March and would thus receive the car in May or June. They called one day and said it was already built! Rest is history. Lesson learned - the dealers don't know what they are talking about. I bet you get your car in a few months.

Ahh, they have a better idea than you think. Remember I mentioned that dealers want to get you the car asap? While other dealers have a demo 135, your car took the place of theirs. So it probably would have taken longer if they hadn't done that. My guess is that they found another dealer who had your exact car ordered and traded Tulsa's demo for theirs before shipping to the dealer was finalized. Thus, it was already ordered by another dealer and built but diverted to Tulsa instead of, say, BMW of Orlando. Personally, I always found that if I tried to give a date of best case scenario, that's all that sticks in their head. Anything later lowers their satisfaction whereas beating the estimated arrival date increases satisfaction. Trying to explain the ins and outs of the ordering/delivering process to the customer is generally superfolous, confusing, and unnecessary. Add to all of this that the control of information is with the manager, not the salesperson who generally gets the bad rap. |

Hey man, what color did you order. I just left Jackie Cooper to get some info. Here's what I found out: 135i Black Saph Metallic - demo 135i Jet Black - on ship headed to USA 135i Jet Black - status 111 135i Titanium Silver - ordered one week before me 135i Alpine White - my car 135i ??? don't know any info about this one, but it's the last one they have on order I was thinking that you are one car behind me. I asked my CA if I was still looking at 90 days. If it ends up being more, I will be upset but don't know that I could/would do anything about it. He told me his opinion on how they handle their orders, but I will not address it on the board as it might not be appropriate. If they are only getting 7 of these as 2008 models, then they are almost all spoken for. Give us some info on what you ordered!!! I told my CA that I could have bought an M3 sedan if I wanted to spend that kind of money, but I just couldn't justify it with what the 135 had to offer. Plus, I can keep my M3/4 if I want to!!! |

My car is Black Saph Metallic, black leather/ silver interior trim, shadowline trim, 6spd. Although now thinking about it, if my car is not coming until October would that now make it an 09 model? i am going to have to check up on this. I would like to know. We'll have to get together sometime after we get our cars and cruise around, are you a member of any of the bmw clubs here? i just recently joined the www.bmwmofo.com members located here in okc and tulsa area. |

I am familiar with the mofos but I'm not really a "member". Work and family. I find it strange that they told me 90 days and they are telling you October. If they come back and tell me that I'm actually September, I will not be happy at all. At any rate, I'd love to meet up with you. In fact if I actually knew someone in the mofo group it might make it easier for me to do a few things with them. I hate to say it, but the group makes me feel "old".
