The very same people who said that global production would run up to 6000 1///M cars globally!

1M Production
Knew the VIN plus 100 just did notams sense! I pick mine up Dec 5th and many earlier deliveries had higher last four #'s. Hold on to 'em guys... This will be a good investment and a super cool car!

I guess I'm a bit more selfish... admittedly, since I have one, I want the total produced to be a small number and I (sitting on this side of the fence) like to see the high market value for the cars.

I'm right with you on that one. This baby hasn't put backs on mattresses for me yet, but just knowing the rarity is all the satisfaction I need.

Hmm...I am not sure. I heard in Mexico you can actually get 2012 1M, in Canada I thought there was only 2011 model, just like the US.

You get to do an autocross this weekend? I only get to do that once a year at O'Fest!!

faulty logic....most of the available "new car" allocations are still here bc someone either dropped, didn't qualify, or couldn't put up with the wait...veryy few if any, are left bc no one picked em up...

680 is just speculation at this point. It's not over till it's over. However 680 may be close in the end, Official End. Need to see in writing from BMW.
In my state the car is a 1 in a Million car. I mean this literally. There are around 2 million people living here and only 2 1M's being delivered to my State. The more I drive my 1M the more I am loving it!!!! This is the best Overall drivers car BMW I have owned in the 35+ years I have owned BMW's

Wow! Our chapter runs 9 autocrosses a year and also we run a night time autocross as well!! Not sure how involved you are with your local chapter but if you can find a suitable lot, it really is an easy program to initiate. We even have a spare timer I would be happy to donate. |

Our chapter does not autocross (mostly social except for 1 track event and the last time we tried to do an autocross school, 3 people showed) so I usually end up going to South Dakota and spend the weekend with Wiles. I just haven't had the time to do that for several years with working 65+ hour weeks. If I am going to drive 4 to 8 hours to get somewhere it better be a three day track weekend.

that makes sense! Fortunately... there are two tracks in the DFW area... and TWS in Bryan/College Station, and now the F1 track coming in... For me it's ... If I'm going to drive 10-12 hours... it better be a three day weekend... Which is exactly how a lot of people in our chapter began making long trips...We went to Barber 2003-2007... last few years it's been Mid Ohio... i've been there 2 of the last three years... and also Road Atlanta. And of course Ofest. |
