Rook - check this out re active steering. Personally I don't want it, but it's better to know what it does before you make a decision one way or the other: http://www.usautoparts.net/bmw/technology/afs.htm
Sorry for drifting a bit off topic (where's that active steering when you need it ; -). |

Looking at the diagrams for the E90 and E87(www.realoem.com/bmw) it looks like the different reservoir indicates Active steering, not electric steering. The standard hydraulic has a star shaped cap on the reservoir, While the active steering has a flat round cap. Also, servotronic only refers to variable assist, not to weather the steering is electric/hydraulic/mechanical

Did anyone else notice the exhaust on page 7 looks different with only one pipe from the engine bay rather than the recent dual pipes from this post. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4284
I wonder if that is an old pic and they changed it to two recently. |

"The feature will also be introduced on BMW 3 Series models with higher performance engines at a later date." Does this mean new engines coming for 3 series (aside from normal updating)? Or just that the present 335 will get this feature? |
