Ohlin R&T vs. TC Kline
Harold,
How would you compare the Ohlin R&T against the TC Kline units you carry. I drive my car everyday on the street but instruct for the club several weekends a year. Which do you think would be better for my use? I drove a 1M with the Ohlins and it felt terrific. Want control without too much harshness. Thanks David PS got my charge but but was unable to install this weekend. |

Was it my old car? I sold it to a gentleman up near SF. Single vs Single the Ohlins definitely has the upper hand. If you were to compare TC's Doubles vs the Ohlins(single), the additional compression adjustment on TC's Koni may give you an edge. That said, Ohlins R&T is noise free and will ride nicer than the stock suspension on the street and provide much needed damping for track duty. Do you need camber plates? You must run TC's with camber plates and Ohlins you can get away without them. Slightly lowered you will get between -1.5 to -2 of camber up front, plenty for street and light to medium track days. Give me a call if you have further questions. Harold |

Ohlins vs TC Kline
Harold,
I think I may have driven yours but can't remember. I drove Henry Schmitt,s (BMWSF) and just remember thinking that the Ohlins felt really good on daily road duty but felt like they would be very beneficial on the track. There is a TC Kline 1M here this week that is going quite well but don't want anything that's going to be too painful day to day. I'm slightly less concerned about tune-ability than I am about ride quality and haven't driven the TC setup. I already got my Vorschlag Camber plates from you so I'm good there. I also have a charge pipe question re: the Evoluion system I just got from you so will give you a call when I can Thanks D |
