Offset values are defendant on wheel size (width)
An 8" ET40, is completely different from a 9" ET40

IMO, when any pic of a wheel is posted it is really wasted time if diameter, width, offset and available colors are not post along with the pic.

as of right now i think that thinking about sizing is waste of time, until i get the car in the driveway and do my own measurements. but im at work bored wanting to know what stock sizing is..

Hmmm, the offsets and width remind me of the s2k's wheel specs, except 17in. vs 18in. They both have fairly high offsets front and back. We'll have see to what all will fit on the 1.

I'm concerned with the, IMO, extreme stagger for a RWD car. I'm guessing the BMW lawyers wanted a lot of built-in understeer for this little beast.

Coming from the S2000, I'm not a fan of staggered wheel set ups. They do tend to cause most cars to understeer, Buttttt....... Most people will find that when they run a non staggered set up, a larger/stiffer front sway bar is needed. Hopefully the aftermarket will develop an adj. front sway bar pretty quickly.
